OUR JUROR: Marina Gutierrez
Marina Gutierrez is a mixed media artist living and working in New York City.
Her combinations of ‘traditional’ and post industrial material form visual
narratives, reflecting themes of personal and cultural history, political events
and ecological commentary. She has received New York Foundation for the
Arts and Joan Mitchel Fellowships and co-authored ART / VISION / VOICE
Cultural Conversations in Community, published in 2005. For nearly four
decades Gutierrez directed the Cooper Union Saturday Program, providing
