Aston Mills Arts Group Show at CAC
Exhibiting artists from Aston Mills Arts are Veronica Batter, Sara Fry, Ann Guidera-Matey, Sharvon Hales, Arianna Harder, Heidi Hammel, Kelly Murray, Lee Muslin, Pete Prown, Rita Reisser, Sally Richards, and Robin Sesan.
Aston Mills Arts is a supportive community of artists located at 3100 Mount Road in Aston, PA – within Rockdale Arts District. The studios formerly known as Heron Crest and Heron Studios have merged into a new single entity called Aston Mills Arts. Artists from both Heron and Heron Crest continue to be the core of this community, including founders Mary Gordon and Heidi Hammel.
In December of 2021, Veronica Batter became the new President of Aston Mills Arts. Batter worked to reopen the first floor space with newly built studios, gallery, and a teaching space. In collaboration with the artists, she merged both the first and second floors under its new name, which was unveiled in June 2022. This combined area has created a massive art space measuring over 10,000 square feet.
With 30 studios for artists of all kinds – including painters, sculptors, potters, fabric, and mixed-media artisans. Says Batter, “It’s an honor to lead this creative community into the future. I’m excited to share our artists’ inspired work with art lovers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.”
The studio is only open to the public for special events however individual studios are open by appointment.
