Every fall, the Community Arts Center, in cooperation with the Potters Guild is proud to participate in Empty Bowls, a nationwide project dedicated to the aid of hunger-fighting organizations. Proceeds from our fundraiser are donated to local food banks.
How it works:
The Empty Bowls concept is simple. Both professional and amateur ceramic artists create and donate more than 500 one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls. Attendees at the luncheon pay a small donation, choose a bowl to use, and are served a simple meal of soup and bread. They keep the bowl as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world.
Make a bowl to be sold at the luncheon by participating in our Empty Bowls Workshop on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10 from 1pm to 4pm. <click here> for more information and to register.
